We're back with the 5th iteration of North America's largest beginner-friendly hackathon, UBC Local Hack Day! Only with our local community relocating to their homes around the world, we decided to leave behind "Local" Hack Day, and bring you all to the greater outdoors and online with our newly rebranded HackCamp.
This year, HackCamp's Learn Day and Build Day will span across a single weekend - featuring a full day of workshops and our annual 12-hour-long beginner-friendly hackathon.

HackCamp Day 1: Learn Day (Dec 5, 9:30am - 10:30pm PST)
The first day of HackCamp is 9+ hours worth of beginner-friendly workshops to help you gain a ton of new tech skills and prepare you for HackCamp Day 2: Build Day. We will be hosting workshops that will help you set-up, design, and build your very own project from start to finish! If you are starting your journey into the world of hackathons we highly recommend attending. Our event is tailored to both coders and non-coders so experience is not required.
HackCamp Day 2: Build Day (Dec 6, 8:30am - 9:30pm PST)
The second day of HackCamp is our annual beginner-friendly hackathon you know and love, it will be focused on building, hacking, and of course, teamwork! Students new to technology will have the opportunity to come together and learn how to build cool projects together. HackCamp revolves around inclusivity, diversity, and accessibility — we encourage you to work on a project that focuses on these three main pillars.
